French Alps, 45km away from Briançon, the highest city in Europe, and
Serre-Chevallier.

From northern Europe or northern France : motorway A6 toward
Lyon, then A48 toward Grenoble from where three ways are possible:
1. Briançon and Lautaret path (N91), check wheather conditions
prior to getting on this road
2. Gap (N75) and Bayard path,the most common alternative
3. Gap and la Croix Haute path, longest but very safe road.
For the longest motorway, alternate way is through Maurienne A43 and Fréjus
tunnel and Montgenèvre path (number 4 on the map).
When in Gap or Briançon , follow signs Embrun / Guillestre.
Depuis Cuneo : direction Vinadio puis le col de Larche (Colle della Maddalena).
From Italy : motorway from Torino to Susa toward Oulx, then follow Briancon
signs.
By TRAIN
Train stop (Montdauphin Guillestre) is 15km away. Shuttle to Vars.
Overnight train from Paris (leaves around 10pm and arrives around 8am).
Also TGV to Grenoble and Valence and transfer (regional train).
